Designation: Legal Consultant (Grade ‘F’)
Number of Posts: Two
Nature of Post: On contract Basis
Remuneration: The compensation package (including market value of housing) will be equal to Cost-to Company (CTC) band equivalent to Grade ‘F’ Officers in the Bank as revised from time to time (Presently Rs.54.63 lakh per annum subject to tax).
Age (as on 23-04-2018): Should not be below 45 years and above 55 years as on the date of advertisement.
Educational Qualifications (as on 23-04-2018):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law recognized by the Bar Council of India for the purpose of enrollment as an Advocate with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent in the aggregate of all semesters/years; and
  • Master’s Degree / Ph.D in Law from a recognized university.
Experience (as on 23-04-2018):
  • Essential: At least ‘fifteen years’ experience as an Advocate or as a Law Officer in the Legal Department of a large bank/financial institution /statutory corporation or in the Legal Department of Central/State Government or as a partner in a Law firm providing legal advice.
  • Desirable: Experience in Taxation laws, International laws, laws relating to Banking, Payment Systems, Forex and Cyber / IT Laws.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be through interview only

  • Must possess a degree in Law of a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or an Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification and got enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu, and in the case of candidates enrolled in the Bar Councils of other States, they should submit a proof of transfer of their enrolment to the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu; and
  • (a) Must be practising as an Advocate or Pleader in the High Court or Courts Subordinate thereto and must have so practised for not less than 3 years on the date of this Notification. or
  • (b) Must be an Assistant Public Prosecutor having not less than 3 years of experience as an Advocate and / or Assistant Public Prosecutor.
(ii) For Fresh Law Graduates:
  • Must be a fresh Law Graduate possessing a Degree in Law from a recognized University;
  • Must be eligible to be enrolled or enrolled as an advocate;
  • Must have secured an overall percentage of (a) 50% Marks in case of open categories; (b) 45% Marks in case of all reserved categories.
  • Must have obtained the Degree of Law within a period of three years prior to the Date of this Notification.
